Coma by Robin Cook, MD

This is an old book that we found at it is still a good read. It is a hospital mystery set in Boston, the hospital is Boston Memorial. Susan Wheeler is a 3rd year resident, just starting her clinical rotation at the hospital. Her first day and she as already step into trouble. Her attending surgical rotation leader Mark Bellows, can't decide what to make of her. She can't decide what side he is on. Is there really a problem going on or is Susan just imaging that there is. I found this book really interesting, with a lot of medical terminology and procedures, I feel that the author does a good job of explaining these as she goes along, for even the "lay person" or "non-medical".

206 Bones by Kathy Reichs

This was an accidental find, books on sale. If you like the show "Bones" on TNT this is a book for you. There are changes from the show, but I found out that the producer of that show, must be portraying herself, Kathy Reichs is Bones, and she is also a writer of several books. Dr. Temperance Brennan, although she is Canada working, it is still a very good read. She finds herself in the dark, bound hands and feet, and needs to find a way out. In the mean time she is trying to remember out she got there and what happened, how long had she been there, where ever there is. So, she thinks it through starting with the last thing she remembers. But there is a lot of space in between there. Read what she remembers and who put her there, I can tell you that my first thought was wrong. It is a good murder-mystery. I hope that you enjoy it.

Have finished the 3rd in the series Texas Fury. Another good book, from Texas, Hawaii, Japan, Washington, Minnesota, to London, to the Swiss Alps, family always comes together where ever they might be. The Coleman's have a wonderful sense of family, even though at times they have problems like everyone else, family is first. This book has a little supsense in it too. I hope you enjoy these books as much as I have. Working on the 4th. Will let you know.

Have been reading Fern Michaels books quartet Texas Rich, Texas Fury, Texas Heat and Texas Sunrise. I have found that I enjoy her creative writing and sometimes sense of humor. These are some of her older books, copyrighted 1985 for the first one. They are still wonderful to read. Texas Rich, starts the family off, the Coleman's, a fixed marriage, a meddling mother-in-law and a powerful father-in-law. Which is what the mother-in-law wants. It does read like a soap opera only with a little more truth to it. I can see rich and powerful people playing with the lives of their families and others. But, through it all can one woman out last them. She was the perfect daughter until she met him, innocent until she met him. He changed her whole life. Texas Heat is the 2nd generation of Colemans continues the saga with the same problems of teenage life.
